There are many ways to contribute to your neighborhood through the WNA. Please see below and email board@wnalansing.com if you’re interested in hearing about volunteer opportunities throughout the year!
Serve as a WNA Board Member:
Board members serve a two-year term and often are involved in one or more committee(s). Board meetings are generally held on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at Letts Community Center.
Crime and Safety Committee:
Chair: Phil Booth. Committee meetings are generally held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Letts.
Event Planning Committee:
Help us plan a fun, family-friendly events to bring together neighbors. Contact WNA.lansing.events@gmail.com for details.
Garden Committee:
Chair: Knowlan Ranza. If interested in participating, email: WNA.lansing.events@gmail.com
LSD Connections Committee:
Chair: Heidi Frei. Our commitment to the Lansing School district is vital to our neighborhood and its young people.
Communications:
Sign up to write articles for or deliver paper copies of the Westside Neighborhood Newsletter.
Fundraising:
Volunteers are needed to develop ideas and lead fundraising efforts for the WNA. Funds would be used for neighborhood improvement projects, events, and other needs in the Westside.
Grants/Neighborhood Improvement Projects:
Please email board@wnalansing.com if you can help write grants or have ideas for neighborhood improvement projects. Your participation and energy are VERY welcome!
