WNA's Neighborhood Watch efforts mentioned

In the March 1st WILX story, "Law enforcement collaborate to prevent violent crime" (http://www.wilx.com/home/headlines/Law-Enforcement-Target-Gangs-Drugs-194378171.html), Lansing Police Chief Szymanski and Fourth Ward Councilperson Jessica Yorko note our neighborhood as one effective in Neighborhood Watch. The Westside Neighborhood Association has been working diligently over the past year to increase Neighborhood Watch coverage with the intention of covering all 2000 households in the Westside. Not a member of a Neighborhood Watch yet? Consider starting one. The start-up packet is here: http://www.lansingmi.gov/Lansing/police/docs/neighwatch/Neighborhood_Watch_Start_Up_Packet_1.pdf or consider attending the WNA's Crime and Safety Committee Meeting to discuss further with Committee Chair Jackie Payne. Meetings are the 4th Tuesday of every month at 6pm inside Letts Community Center (1220 W. Kalamazoo Street).
