Annual Garden Tour Set to Bloom on July 15th! The Annual Westside Garden Tour is scheduled for Sunday, July 15, 2012 and will take place from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. This year nine gardens will be presented – from those with an English Cottage Garden theme to those with native plants and edibles, or still others with lush expanses of flowers, herbs and shrubs. Tickets are $15 and will be available the day of the tour at the former Westside Fire Station (#7) at the corner of Saginaw and Jenison. Advance ticket sales will start the week of June 25th with $15 tickets available through our supporting merchants: Biggby at the Triangle (2002 W. Saginaw), Decker’s Coffee (220 S. Washington), Smith Floral (1124 E. Mt. Hope) and The Mole Hole (4758 Marsh Rd., Okemos). Also, join in our raffle for the chance to win great prizes – a handmade garden-themed quilt, by John Putnam, art glass pieces by two local artist, handmade jewelry, merchant gift baskets, gardening services and more. Raffle tickets are available from John Putnam (517-482—2883) and cost $2.00 each or $5.00 for three.
