Successful Letts/Riddle Clean-Up

Yesterday's Letts/Riddle clean-up in partnership with the National Center and Caucus on Black Aged - Lansing Chapter was incredibly successful.  Over twenty people came between 9am and noon to spruce up the Letts Community Center and Riddle Elementary. Volunteers weeded flower beds spread mulch around the community center and at the Ascent sculpture native plantings garden, picked up litter around the community center and in the play equipment areas of Riddle Elementary and Letts, and even had time to fill an entire trash bag full of garbage from a footpath leading between Lenawee and Kalamazoo just south of the community center.

The WNA Neighborhood Improvement Committee would like to thank our partner in this cleanup, the National Center and Caucus on Black Aged - Lansing Chapter; the multiple donors who supplied snacks, drinks, lunch, mulch, tools; and of course the great people who gave up their Saturday morning to labor on improving the look and safety of this area for all to enjoy!  If you haven't stopped by in a while, be sure to check out the Letts Community Center (1220 W. Kalamazoo) and see this newly-polished gem in our neighborhood.
